On the Way

600 x 300 x 250 cm, Iron wire 3 mm, iron rods (mobile), thread, projectors.
A site specific work created for a three month show in the Amsterdam Waterlooplein Metro station. In three parts we see a man, like many of the people passing the work, rushing home to relax, locked up in a bubble of solitude. The work invites the passing commuters to be more present along their journey. For instance by seeing this art work, stopping, taking a breath and for a moment to just be where they are.
